Flowers bloom across the sheet in luminous reds and orange, some opening like petals, others gathering into round, cell-like forms, somewhere between blossom, seed and living organism. Cool turquoise and deep olive leaves rise from below, while fine white and graphite lines trace veins and rays through the colour, like quiet breaths inside the flow.

The painting was created after a long struggle with a large oil painting, as a moment of letting go: water, pigment and a little bit of chance, guided by a light hand. It’s part of a new series of watercolours that are light as feathers, warm, and full of life.

The title reflects the spirit of the work. It doesn’t need to be explained, only felt.
